Hordern House - Sydney

Hordern HouseHordern House, founded by Anne McCormick and Derek McDonnell, is an internationally renowned bookshop, specialising in rare books, historical paintings, manuscripts and prints. We specialise in travel and voyage books, particularly relating to the Pacific, rare printed and manuscript Australiana, illustrated books and children's literature, colour-plate books including natural history, historical maps and prints, literature and history, and early Australian paintings and voyage art.

Our business is in a fine nineteenth-century house in one of Potts Point's most picturesque tree-lined streets. We are just ten minutes by car from the centre of Sydney and you are most welcome to visit us at any time. For many years Hordern House has also been a highly regarded specialist publisher, and has attracted an international reputation for its fine quality publications.
