Address checks of UK credit cards (and those in many countries except France, Denmark, New Zealand and Australia) may be carried out through BMS by telephoning 0870 6005511. Up to 3 checks may be made at a time, and the cost is £3 per check. Members are reminded that they may also set up their PDQ machines to carry out UK-only address checks of credit cards. The cost for the system is £10 per month, irrespective of the number of checks made. Call the Customer Centre on 0844 811 6666 and ask about "CV2-AVS".

Unless you know customers very well and have no doubts about their honesty, you should only ever send purchases to the billing address on the credit card.
